Colours are a curious thing
To dabble with, with a brush
Dancing away as on the wing
They swirl & turn to blush.

Some are social, mix with most
While others stand apart-
Simply put, as butter on toast
These paints all think they’re a piece of art.

Maharashtra’s State Animal – the Flying Squirrel, also known as Shekru- is the theme for this mural on the railway platform of Mumbai Central. Living up in the trees, these shy animals are a treat to watch if you’re lucky to spot them – gliding across from one tree to another.
